KitLit Bloggers Confrence
I just received this email abotu a bloggers confrence in Portland that may be of some interest to you. Things are definitely changing with computers and the internet with respect to children's literature and this confrence will address it. Here is the email:

The following message was sent to the JacketFlap friends of Tracy Grand:
I wanted to let you know about an upcoming conference focused on blogs and children's / YA books - the second annual Kidlit Bloggers Conference. You do not need to be a kitlit blogger to attend. Topics will likely focus on beginning blogging, community blogging, podcasting, social networking to promote your blog, and more. Attendees will include children's and YA bloggers, authors, illustrators, librarians, and more. I went last year, and it was great!
The conference will be September 27th at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. The Sheraton has extended conference rates between September 24-September 29, if you wish to stay longer. Breakfast is included, and the room must be booked by September 12th to get their special rate.
It costs $60.00 to attend the conference (dinner included) and $30.00 for the dinner alone.
