Graphic quotes
Here's another idea the designer of the Ironic Sans blog came up with that I think is really clever. I can't see this working for small 10 or 11 point text, but for pull quotes, this could be brilliant in some situations. Hm. Doesn't work for me; it looks too clunky. But then, I'm pretty conservative when it comes to design. Maybe if just one comment balloon was used either to precede or succeed the quotation, the effect wouldn't be so overwhelming.
It's a clever experiment, anyway.
